Set within beautiful gardens surrounded by pines, the 19th century Royal Thalasso Barriere Hotel overlooks one of Europe's largest bays, eight kilometers from La Briere Regional Natural Park. The 91 air conditioned guestrooms, some with balconies and views of the gardens and bay, are decorated in attractive Regency style striped fabrics. All are equipped with high speed Internet access, cable television with pay movies, safes, minibars and direct dial phones. Cream colored marble bathrooms have make up mirrors, hair dryers, bathrobes and slippers.
Guests can unwind in the Thalasso Center with its spa, steam room and Turkish bath, work out in the fitness center, or take a dip in the three seawater swimming pools. There is choice of two onsite restaurants: La Rotonde, open for breakfast lunch and dinner, offers creative French dishes and a range of healthy option specialties, served on the sunny terrace with stunning views of the countryside and sea, or within its formal interior with luxurious cream and green fabrics and upholstered chairs. Alternatively, Le Ponton serves fresh local seafood on the beachfront under the shade of striped umbrellas. After dinner guests can relax at the Marie Louise Bar and listen to the live piano music. During summer months, the hotel hosts buffets and barbecues at the water's edge. Families with children under four years old can make use of the kid's club. Business guests have two air conditioned and soundproofed conference rooms at their disposal. The hotel offers complimentary use of bicycles, so guests can explore the countryside or nearby towns. The medieval town of Guerande and the fishing port of Le Croisic are both five kilometers away, and the beach is just 20 meters from the hotel, with water sports such as surfing, water skiing and jet skiing. The nearest airport is Nantes, 80 kilometers away, and guests can catch a train to La Baule Escoublac railway station, a five minute taxi ride from the hotel.
