Set in lush green woodland with its own marina, the lakefront Best Western Seehotel Frankenhorst is six kilometres from the centre of Schwerin, and 35 kilometres from the Baltic Sea. The guesthouse complex has four buildings with 46 guestrooms offering woodland views. All have modern decor with oak furniture and include cable television, tea and coffee making facilities, Internet connections, and minibars.
In the hotel's Bootshaus restaurant diners can choose from a menu of regional dishes served in maritime style surroundings. The restaurant also has a winter garden and sun terrace. This lakeside retreat provides a picturesque setting for some serious relaxation, where guests can indulge in hair and beauty treatments, have a soak in the hot tub, or sweat it out in the sauna. For the more active, there is an outdoor pool and fitness equipment, as well as darts and table football facilities on site. The hotel has its own marina with boat rental and a sailing school for novices. A great way to explore the surrounding area, bicycles are available to rent from the hotel, and water sports enthusiasts are well catered for with scuba diving and fishing both available on the lake. After a day's activities, guests can wind down with cocktails in the lounge, or on the sun terrace with views across the lake, while barbecues are held daily throughout the summer months. A museum and a theatre, and Schwerin Castle, all lie six kilometres from the hotel in the centre of Schwerin. Hamburg Fuhlsb�ttel Airport is 110 kilometres from the hotel.

Driving Directions

Taxi services to central Hamburg take approximately 30 minutes. Airport Express runs bus services to Hamburg Central Station every 20 minutes from terminals 1 and 4. Connecting trains to Schwerin can be taken from Hamburg. Take the A24 to junction Autobahndreieck Schwerin.
Take the A14 in the direction Wismar/Schwerin Ost.
Leave the A14 at Schwerin Nord and take the B104 to Schwerin.
Pass through the town of Rampe and follow the B104 approximately 2.5 kilometers.
Leave the B104 and turn right onto Paulsdammer Weg.
Cross the small bridge over the Stangengraben and drive straight for approximately 1 kilometer.
Turn left onto Frankenhorst.
From Schwerin:
Beginning on March 1, 2007 the Werderstra�e (B104) will be closed due to construction. Please follow the detour signs.
Leave Schwerin in the direction of G�strow/Teterow (B104).
After approximately 4 kilometers, turn left before the Paulsdamm Bridge and drive straight approximately 1 kilometer.
Turn left onto Frankenhorst.
