The Sheraton Fota Island Hotel and Spa is a luxurious hotel set on scenic Fota Island in Cork Harbour in the South of Ireland. This three story hotel features 131 modern rooms, over three floors, with contemporary decor and furnishings. All guestrooms include air conditioning, satellite television with pay movies and premium channels, clock radios, direct dial phones, wireless Internet access, safes and minibars. Bathrooms have bathrobes, scales, telephones and televisions.
The hotel offers two dining options: the intimate Cove Restaurant, with a wine cellar, serving speciality Irish gourmet cuisine, and the relaxed Fota Restaurant with a casual atmosphere, golf lodge theme and large fireplaces, serving international cuisine. Guests can work out in the gym open 24 hours, whilst the hotel also has an 18 hole championship golf course, with onsite clubhouse facilities including a bar, lounge and pro shop. The hotel is in an excellent position for exploring the surrounding area; Fota Wildlife Park is only 500 metres away, and the town on Cobh, last port of call for the Titanic, is three miles away. Further afield guests can kiss the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle, six miles distance, and visit the tasty culinary capital of Ireland at Kinsale, 15 miles away. Cork International Airport is an approximate driving time of 20 minutes from the hotel, a distance of five miles (eight kilometres).

Taxis are available from the airport to the hotel. Most attractions are accessible on foot from the centre of Cork. Those wanting to go further afield can use the city's bus system. Exploration of the surrounding countryside is best done by car.
Driving directions: From the airport take the E30 as far as the Cobh Exit, approximately nine miles (15 kilometres) east of Cork. Follow the R264 towards Cobh for approximately two miles (three kilometres). Follow signs for Fota Island Golf Club and the resort is on the left.
