The Killarney Oaks Hotel is a modern red low rise building set on the Lakes of Killarney at the entrance to the beautiful Killarney National Park, three miles from the town centre. The hotel's 69 guestrooms have simple decor with green colour schemes, quilted bed fabrics and wood furnishings including coffee tables, writing desks and TV cabinets. All include bathrooms with hair dryer as well as satellite television, Internet access and tea/coffee making facilities.
The hotel's offers three onsite dining options that vary in formality and cuisine. The Oaks restaurant has a traditional dining room feel with deep red carpets, chandeliers and large windows, and Hayden's restaurant has a light contemporary decor. Both serve local specialities and a range of international dishes. For a more informal meal, the Acorn Bar serves traditional pub dishes, beers and Irish whiskies every day, with live music performances during the summer season. There is also a pool table. Conferences and social receptions can also be accommodated and audiovisual facilities are available upon request. For families, babysitting can be arranged. The front desk provides concierge services and staff can assist guests with transport bookings, organizing day trips and walks. Surrounding the town of Killarney, Killarney National Park offers 25,000 acres of parkland, lakes and mountains including Ireland's highest peak, Carrantuohill (1040 metres). Hill walking, cycling, horse riding, shooting and fishing are common activities in the area and golfers will find championship courses within 30 minutes' drive. Nearby places of interest and natural beauty include Muckross House stately home, just one mile away, the Torc Waterfall, three miles away, and the Crag Caves, 10 miles from the hotel. Kerry Country Airport is 10 miles from the hotel.

Taxi or car is the recommended means of getting to the hotel. A typical taxi fare from the airport would be 20 EUR. The nearest train station to the hotel is at Killarney, three kilometres away. Driving directions from the airport: Take the Tralee Road from Farranfore to Killarney and then the Muckross Road towards Killarney. The hotel is on the left hand side, two miles from the town centre.
