Location. The Hotel Principe di Fitalia is housed in a handsome villa built in 1884 and situated in the Sicilian countryside, 800 metres from the seaside and five kilometres from the centre of Syracuse. Arenella Beach is two kilometres from the hotel and Ortigia, the historic centre of Sicily is six kilometres away. Catania Fontanarossa Airport is 48 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 45 minutes.
Hotel Features. The hotel has an outdoor pool set amidst olive and palm trees in the pretty sub tropical gardens, and guests can enjoy slimming thermosaunas, hydromassages, beauty treatments and massages in the fitness centre. A wine bar serves Sicilian wine each evening, the 24 hour front desk has multilingual staff, and public areas are air conditioned. Guests arriving by car have access to free secure parking.
Il Giardino delle Fiabe restaurant serves Sicilian specialities, with an emphasis on fish dishes, in a romantic setting.
Guestrooms. The 21 air conditioned guestrooms are located over two floors and have decor in Mediterranean colours, traditional style furnishings and balconies. All guestrooms are equipped with satellite television, Internet connections (surcharge) and direct dial phones. Other amenities include minibars and safes. Irons and ironing board are available on request.
Expert Tip. Visit the Eurialo Castle situated eight kilometres away and built by Dionysius between 402 and 397 BC as defence against the Carthaginians, for fantastic views across the sea and Sicily.
