Location. The Gala Resort Huatulco is located on Oaxaca's coast along scenic Tangolunda Bay in Huatulco, Mexico. Local attractions include the 18 hole Campo de Golf Tangolunda and nearby Playa San Augustin, known for its snorkeling and diving sites.
Hotel Features. Seven restaurants and bars include Broccolini, where Italian specialties are prepared, and the semi casual Fonda los Alcatraces that features signature Mexican dishes. Dance On remembers the days of disco and entices couples to recall their best steps on the dance floor. Two multi function rooms and a boardroom accommodate corporate and social events, and a business center offers computers with high speed Internet access. Recreational amenities include five outdoor pools, two of which are reserved for adults. A fitness facility features cardio and weight training equipment, and three tennis courts are illuminated for night play. Spa services are offered at a beachside massage hut and a water sports center features windsurfing, kayaking and sailing. Resort entertainment includes evening performances hosted at the outdoor Royal Theater. The Galaxy Kids Club offers a supervised nursery, mini cafeteria, children's pool, a theater, a playground area, video games and sports activities. There is also a Teen Club that plans activities for children 13 through 15 years of age.
Guestrooms. This all inclusive resort provides 300 air conditioned guestrooms with minibars, satellite television, safety deposit boxes and bathrooms with bathtubs and showers. Balconies boast garden, partial or full ocean views. Select rooms include welcome fruit baskets, DVD players and jetted tubs. Neutral color schemes are accented with coral and ocean hued bedspreads, area rugs and draperies.
Expert Tip. Located near the resort, Santa Cruz Bay offers a marina, shopping vneues and many fine dining and palapa style restaurants along the beach.
