Location. Positioned along a beach on the Yucatan Peninsula in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the Rui Playacar All Inclusive stands three kilometers from 5th Avenue entertainment venues and shops.
Hotel Features. The resort's primary restaurant, El Porche, serves international dishes and hosts twice weekly themed dinners. Turquesa specializes in Mediterranean and steakhouse fare, and Las Olas features swim up service. A business center contains computers with dial up Internet access, and business amenities include fax and photocopying services. This resort provides beachfront relaxation and tropical escape on four acres of tranquil grounds. Two outdoor pools, a children's pool and a spa tub offer refreshing recreation and relaxation. A children's playground provides entertainment for youngsters while two lighted, hard surface tennis courts and water sport gear entertain adults. A sister resort, the Riu Yucatan, is located on Mexican street, and houses a fitness center that accommodates all Riu guests. The privately operated spa offers a menu of massage and beauty treatments.
Guestrooms. This hotel offers 396 air conditioned guestrooms and suites, housed within two, three story wings of the main building. All rooms extend onto terraces or balconies with garden views. Ambience is Caribbean with ceramic tile floors, floral drapes and rattan furnishings. Room amenities include satellite television, ceiling fans, minibars and safe deposit boxes. Bathrooms contain showers, only.
Expert Tip. Mexican Street, located 100 meters from the hotel, features a variety of jewelry, photo, handcraft and souvenir shops.
