Dating back to 1891, the Union Hotel is a five floor family run property surrounded by beautiful scenery, situated on the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Geirangerfjord. The 168 guestrooms feature modern decor and fjord, mountain or garden views. All include satellite television with pay movies, wireless Internet access, minibars and refrigerators. Bathrooms with hair dryers and showers.
The hotel's dining options include an � la carte restaurant and traditional Norwegian buffet dinners. Guests can swim in the indoor and outdoor pools, with a children's pool, relax in the solarium, spa pool, sauna and Turkish bath, and visit the vintage car museum. Taxis and hire cars are available from the airport; a typical taxi fare to the hotel is approximately 2750 NOK. The hotel can arrange airport pickups for a fee. The area is best explored by car. The hotel can arrange transport to and from Geiranger quay from where cruises around the fjord are available.
Driving directions: From the airport head towards Alesund, Sjoholt and then to Linge (Valldal). From Linge, take the ferry to Eidsdal. Geiranger is a further 30 minutes from Eidsdal.
