The Funchal Hotel Quinta do Sol is a modern six floor hotel block situated overlooking the ocean, 800 metres from Funchal centre and one kilometre from the beach. The 161 air conditioned guestrooms have simple white decor with patterned bedspreads and curtains and open onto balconies with sea or garden views. Modern amenities include satellite television, refrigerators, safes, direct dial phones, and Internet connections. Marble bathrooms are equipped with tubs, showers, hair dryers, and toiletries.
Guests can take a dip in the large heated outdoor pool, or relax on a sun bed by the poolside while children have fun in the splash pool. Tourists can visit the Lido and tourism centre, two kilometres away, explore the East Coast of Madeira, three kilometres away, and shop at the island's biggest shopping centre, five kilometres from the hotel. Madeira Funchal International Airport is 20 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.
