The Hotel Pinhal do Sol is a two floor hotel situated in a peaceful location in Quarteira in the Algarve, three kilometres from the nearest beach and five kilometres from the bustling resort of Vilamoura. The hotel features 56 air conditioned guestrooms with simple decor, patterned fabrics and dark wood furnishings. All guestrooms open on to balconies or terraces with views of garden and countryside and include satellite television, direct dial phones, and safes.
Guests can play a game of tennis before soaking up the sun beside the pool or enjoying a refreshing dip. Guests can also relax with a cocktail at the poolside bar, enjoy live music three evenings a week, and dine on traditional Portuguese cuisine in the rustic restaurant. Those with children will appreciate the babysitting service, separate children's pool and play area. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can advise on local amenities and attractions and guests have discounted use of facilities at a nearby health centre. A complimentary shuttle bus service to nearby resort centres is on offer. There is an aquapark one kilometre away, and the sporting and recreational facilities, restaurants, bars and nightclubs of Vilamoura can be found five kilometres away. Four golf courses can also be found within five kilometres. Faro International Airport is 22 kilometres from the hotel with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes. Note: From Dec. 12, 20006 to Jan. 5, 2007, this hotel will be closed due to renovations.

Driving directions: From the airport, head for the flyover and bear left. Follow the signs for IP1 for 3 kilometres and turn right to E.N. 125 signed Portim�o. Follow E.N.125 for about 15 kilometres and at the crossroads with traffic lights turn left to Quarteira, drive for 1 kilometre after passing the Water Slide Park AquaShow, turn left, signed Hotel Pinhal do Sol. The Hotel is 1 kilometre on the right.
