Location. The Metropole Hotel is located in St Helier, the capital of Jersey, Channel Islands, 500 metres from the main beach, the town centre and Howard Davis Park. Jersey Airport is four miles from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The Metropole Hotel is a modern, cream coloured property with a traditional frontage made from local granite. Set amid gardens, the outdoor swimming pool features a sun terrace dotted with loungers. The hotel also houses an indoor pool. Public areas are air conditioned and feature complimentary Internet access. Motorists will find complimentary parking on site.
The Metropole offers complimentary full English or buffet breakfasts every morning. The Dining Room restaurant serves seafood dishes and traditional British fare, including Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding. The adjacent bar serves cocktails and locally brewed beers. Expert Tip. The Durrell Zoo was founded by naturalist Gerald Durrell, author of 'My Family And Other Animals'. The animals here including fruit bats, tamarins and gorillas are housed in enclosures that reflect their natural habitats.

From Jersey Airport (JER):
Distance to Metropole Hotel is 4 miles, approximately 25 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The hotel offers coach transfers from the airport, which must be arranged in advance (surcharge). The number 15 bus leaves the airport every 20 minutes for St Helier's bus station. Single tickets cost 1.60 GBP. Taxis are available from a rank next to the arrivals building, and cost around 12 GBP to the hotel. Taxi fares are higher on bank holidays and at night. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. St Helier is easy to explore by bicycle or on foot. Buses run from St Helier to most of the surrounding towns. A car is recommended for visiting the less touristy parts of the island.
Driving directions. From the airport, follow signs for the A1 to St Helier.
Leave the A1 at the junction with the A17 (following signs for Fort Regent).
Follow the road through a tunnel.
After the roundabout, turn right at the next junction into Roseville Road.
Continue for 20 metres and the Metropole is on the left hand side.
